Nice museum close to the station of Groningen. It had some nice exhibitions and was very quiet, so you could really take it all in. Would definitely recommend as a must see when visiting Groningen.
I had a decent visit to this museum, it had quite some exhibitions and things to do and to look at. Most of the things unfortunately weren’t for me but the two painting rooms with all the artworks were probably my favourite out of all that there was to offer. It was also decently crowded which made it a bit less enjoyable but beside that the museum is decent for an hour or two. The building itself is very gorgeous and spacious. Overall a decent visit and I would recommend it for an afternoon if you’re in the city.
Loved this museum. I had a very enjoyable time here and enjoyed the story of Frans Hals very much. I wasn’t that aware of the artist but after this visit I feel I know quite some new things. The artworks on display are very beautiful and definitely worth the visit. There’s other artists as well beside Frans Hals and those are definitely worth it too. I stayed here for about 2 and a half hours and could have definitely stayed longer but due to time constraints I had to cut my visit short and rush the last few rooms. Nonetheless, this is definitely a worthwhile experience and highly recommended.
Very peaceful park. Great for a walk and a nice place to stay for a few hours.
I honestly don’t know what to say about this museum. The black hole exhibition was decently interesting but that’s honestly all there is. There’s not much else to do or to see. Being honest the exhibition could have also been a bit more expanded, it really felt very short and not finished to be honest. I enjoyed the black hole experience very much though, I stayed there for a good 15 minutes peacefully enjoying the visuals. If yo have a museum kaart then I’d definitely recommend checking it out, but for the normal price I am not sure if it’s worth it.
