Brown Bag
2023 Oct 10
This was a nice neighborhood restaurant that serves breakfast as well as lunch. I was able to customize my order for breakfast and it was made right in front of me. The food was hot and good. I ordered the farmer's breakfast bowl with scrambled eggs, potatoes and turkey. I was not expecting to have turkey lunch meat as my meat, but it was different and freshly cut while I ordered my food. The orange juice was really good! It wasn't too sweet and was natural. I would recommend this small quaint restaurant.
I rated the location as 5 stars because it is really around a ton of restaurants and even the DC sites that tourists are interested in visiting. The rooms are spacious, but they should do a couple of updates. The shower takes a while to heat up and it has a tub! Most updated hotels have the walk-in showers these days. The breakfast buffet is decent. We also had to change rooms because there was a smoke smell coming through the vents. If you are here for work or a tourist and you will not be spending too much time in the rooms, then you should be fine with the amenities.
Corner Bakery Cafe
2023 Sep 16
I decided to go to here for breakfast this morning and was somewhat delighted and slightly disappointed. I've ordered this before from another Corner Bakery and received different results. I waited for 5 - 10 minutes for my food and it actually arrived at my table cold. I do not like cold food. Overall, the restaurant was clean and not real busy at the time. I like to come to corner bakery because your food is made to order (at least I thought) and I just didn't get the fact that it came out cold. Try and at least place the potatoes on the grill for a few minutes so the food will be hot for the customer.

This is a mall that has my favorite bakery (Magnolia Bakery) in downtown Chicago. I have to call and make sure they have my German Chocolate slices when I am in the area. This is one of the best!
Two Chicks Cafe

2 chicks rocked! My wife and I went there for lunch one day and it was really good and definitely had a healthy twist on their menu and food items. I ordered the cajun sausage panini and my wife had the chicken panini and both were very tasty. It was complimented by a side salad. The lemonade was good also with a cucumber in it, I couldn't get enough. The must be a popular place because there was a line for lunch although it still did not take very long and we were in and out before the lunch hour was over. The food was so good that we went again the next day for breakfast.

The breakfast also tasted very good. There was a short line waiting for them to open at 8 a.m. We received our breakfast after a brief wait. My wife could not stop raving about the smoked gouda grits. This was recommended by a co-worker who was also there getting food. I would recommend this place and would definitely go again when I am in the area.
