Disappointing meats, extremely dry. We were a large table and got around 5 dishes of similar cut steak with medium temperature. All was dry, the taste of the steak just wasn’t there. The server asked us what sauce we wanted with our steaks as if it the steaks always come with a sauce, but we saw in the bill that we were charged extra for it. Obviously none of us wanted a sauce and only chose one cause the server made it seem like the dish included a choice of sauce. The mushroom soup was good, the beef tartare was okay - the egg was cooked too much. Not worth the price.
We went to this place based on a recommendation. The “Benny Boy” benedicts are really good. I think it is a really smart idea switching the toast bread or bagel to hashbrowns. However, even though the savoury kadaif looks really nice the flavor profile is weak. It doesn’t taste good. Iced lattes had very little coffee. The location is nice, the servers are eager to help but not enough. There is a long line of people waiting by the door and no one comes to check in on them even though there are many available tables. All they need is someone that gives their attention to the customers. The food arrives in quite a bit of time. Everything is slow. Overall I don’t think the flavors are enough to make up for the experience.
Really cool Roman church turned into a mosque. It’s like a hipster, less-known yet equally cool version of the Hagia Sophia. With no crowd, its worth a visit, free too!
