Katja is an excellent tailor. I highly recommend her. I've been to many tailors in and around the Boston area and Katja is the best. She knows clothes, pattern cutting, and fabrics and can both make clothes from scratch and alter clothing. Katja made and/or adjusted virtually all of the outfits my mom and I wore for my wedding and they all came out beautifully and made us feel and look just as we wanted on this special weekend. For my mom, Katja adjusted my grandmother's navy silk skirt from the 1950s to fit my mom and made a top from silk from a silk fabric she helped my mom select. She also made a pink/gray tunic, scarf, and pant ensemble from scratch from fabric my mom brought her. For me, she made me a beautiful silk shirt to accompany pants I'd bought and helped me select the fabric, color, and pattern. She also made last minute adjustments to the waist, arms, and bust on two wedding dresses I wore that weekend (one for City Hall and one for the wedding). Katja is straightforward and knowledgeable and accommodating and I trust her completely to make and adjust my clothes! I can't thank her enough for all her time and help leading up to the wedding!
