After a long day of sightseeing realized that Salzburg dining places generally wind down early. Trudging bck to hotel, found literally a "hole in the wall" 2 person diner offering a range of thai, chinese, vietnam, korean and japanese dishes. Opted to take away a breaded chicken in sweet sauce and tofu veggie pad thai stir fry. Both came with steamed rice; and all for under 15 euros. Portions were generous and steaming hot off the wok, both were yummy!
Located at Terminal 3 just after the passport control using G gates. A small oasis away from the crowd to wait in comfort for a delayed flight. Generally takes in Star Alliance guest. On day of visit, toast beef with gnocchi and mushroom gravy was the day special. Lounge wasn't full, regular stuff like coffee, sweet pastries, cold meats and cheeses and a range of self serve hot and cold, alcoholic and nonalc beverages. Surprisingly, shower service is available-need to sign up short list. Turkish Airlines flights are in D gates which is a good 5-10 min walk.
At Terminal 2b, compact and easy to use. Signs in English and bags came off quickly. Arrival area crowded but organized.
Bad Cafe serving great coffee and flavorful bites. Tried ube latte with oat milk, no coffee-amazing ube flavor predominate. Coupled it with Calamansi pie, a local adaptation of a key lime pie-wonderful combination of crunchy graham cracker crust, creamy baked whipped cream topping and tart calamansi filling was just a bit over sweet. Nice place to work offsite.
Missed full breakfast and lunch thought longsilog from the all day bfast menu would be perfect for early dinner. Chose this joint to soak in nostalgia from late 70's-early 80's heyday of makati comml center. The combo came with garlic fried rice, grilled 2 pieces of hamonado style longganisa, hard sunny side up, tomato, cucumber and atsara-pickled green papaya strip. Also ordered heart of palm fresh lumpia as side which was quite generous in size but bland if not for the sweet brown sauce. Lon gganisa lacked the usual punch from garlic but thankfully not too salty nor sweet. All came down to less than Php 300!
