The library has great helpful staff and also has e-Learning facilities and facilities for copying, both photocopy and digital copies. A great place to spend some quiet time during your time in Masjid Al Haram.

A great place for learning about the ancient history of Makkah and its adjoining areas. The museum contains archaeological artifacts from prehistoric times including rock inscriptions, ancient stone tools and cultural items. The museum also showcases picturea of historical importance via various banners describing important historical events.
This museum, however, focusses mainly on the exhibition of historical items in general not about Kaaba etc specifically.
Takes about an hour and half to see.
