We had my son’s wedding this WE and the experience was amazing. We booked the date a year ago as we fall in love with the place in our first visit. Afterwards, I started having doubts because of some reviews especially about the food. But the experience was worth every penny.
+ first contact: Loyola was very friendly and showed us the place with patience and answered our questions or asked to come back with the answer.
+ pre-wedding meeting: very smooth and very efficient.
+ tasting expertise: a must as the taste differ from culture to culture. It’s worth the money you pay.
+ place: we got the hall communicating with the patio; the room looked amazing. We invested only in flowers and we went very simple and budget friendly.
+food: very tasty, we went with steak for everyone; didn’t want the headache of giving out guest to choose; we went to the food tasting ( I would highly recommend). We were five people to taste and we couldn’t agree on the chicken. We loved the pasta but, in our culture, it will be an insult to serve pasta for a wedding. Our friends were so happy that for the first time they got a hot steak in a wedding oh 140 people.
+service: very friendly server, very efficient. We were setting the sweet table and forgot to bring some napkins. Without even asking, a server came with and helped set the sweet table.
We had Alex ( he didn’t ask for a review) maître and he was amazing, easy going, very helpful. Again, the bride and groom decided last minute to put the berries themselves during the ceremony on the cake but we hadn’t a nice bowl, Alex run to bring it.
+acces to the hotel. My son and his wife booked a room there a it was very helpful.
What we didn’t like:
- response time: according to my son, the had to wait a bit for emails to be responded to ( I would take this with precaution)
- we were charged an extra 13$ per person because we asked for Halal meat, I understand that the supplied might have to go out his way for halal meat but this is Toronto !!! There Halal meat in every corner.
It would be nice to have an installed sound system.
Thanks everyone for making this experience memorable.
N.B. If you were wondering about the price, the bill was around 20k for 134 person.
