Located at the market square of the old town of Krakow, this restaurant is a good place to come and experience some local Polish cuisine

In my experience, the staff was very friendly, helpful, and kind.
The service was prompt and efficient. The food was delicious and tasty.

A cool structure

This is an excellent bookstore offering a wide selection of books in English - probably the wildest in the whole of the Czech capital of Prague. Almost all of their titles are in English offering books across all possible topics and age groups. I am not sure how "budget" the prices really are, but by Czech standards - well, especially downtown Prague ones - they are quite ok. It is a good place to come and peruse books and the staff are certainly not minding you spending time and leafing through the books. If you are looking for anything interesting to read, this bookshop is the right place to check out

A monument to the nineteenth century Polish painter, Jan Mateiko. He is well known for his large canvasses depicting historical events. The monument does a good job of commemorating his endeavors, by framing the background as a painting - or rather a tableu - which the seated Jan Mateiko is observing with interest and curiosity. This site used to have a monument to the Soviet army, which has now been relicated.

A monument dedicated to the battle of Grunwald, commemorating the Polish victory over the Tutonic knights . The size and grandeur of the monument are a clear attestation to the size and significance of this story to the country's national imagination. It is located just outside the medieval walls of the old town of Krakow across from the Barbican. It is certainly worth a visit when you are in town. There are several bars and restaurants in the buildings surrounding the square on which this monument is located
