Congee Queen

I love their lunch special. It's not cheap BUT very reasonably priced, as it's in a good portion and has everything I want - a main dish, rice, soup, snacks (spring roll), dessert (orange) and a drink. All items are put together very well. We ordered Sweet and Sour Pork and Bitter Melon Pork. Both are sticky items in Chinese cuisine, and I'm happy that they both have good authentic taste. The vibe and services are good. Most of the customers are older adults and families so the staff are trained to be patient and friendly. I recommend Congee Queen for anyone who is looking for a Chinese restaurant where you can bring your whole family.
Milne Dam Conservation Park is such a hidden gem. My first visit was last Fall when the Fall color was at its peak. I walked from the parking to the Milner Dam then back. There's people of all kinds chilling there. The paths are not as smooth as in a park. It's a little bit of a hike, but not too challenging so I believe many elderly will still be able to enjoy it.

I'm always on the look out for Northern Chinese cuisine coz my mom grew up in Northern China. I brought her to 源源 today and she's really excited to see all the familiar dishes on the menu. We ordered 熏肉烧饼,肉夹馍,炸糕,熏鸡架,豆腐脑,凉皮。炸糕 and 熏鸡架 are my mom's favorite. The portion is good and the taste is authentic (at least my mom approved).

This food court has only a few restaurants and might look a bit run down. But the seating area is spacious, bright and airy. We feel safe dining in or waiting for takeout here.
If you love durian, you HAVE to try their Durian Crepe Cake/Cake Box! Oh my goodness that is TOTALLY HEAVEN!! I thought the price is a bit high at first, but after I ate the first bite, it's totally worth the price. I can taste the real durian in every bite. My mom and I are so happy. Thank you, and please keep up the good work. We need your durian cake in our lives :-)
