Michelangelo’s David is obviously the main attraction and the statue does not disappoint. I would check out the statue, view the rest of the museum and then come back for a few more minutes to take in the sculpture again. It really is impressive.
Very impressive collection of Roman art and antiquities. The museum is much more than the chapel. Advance tickets are a must. Unfortunately the crowds are so dense it makes it hard to stop and enjoy all the wings of the museum. Highly recommend finding a way to visit during off hours or time of the year. I went in late September and it was still jam packed.
Impressive museum! One of the best in the world. I would make this priority number one for visiting museums in Florence. Probably need multiple trips to take in all the great art here.
