I loved every second of my time at KaarakinBlack Cockatoo Conservation Centre!!
Brought my Mum for a tour and our hearts were filled with joy seeing the awesome work that The Kaarakin volunteers do for these amazing endangered birds.
Our guide was so knowledgeable about everything to do with the 3 x Black Cockatoo species and the info that he gave us was spot on.
As well as the Black cockatoos it was wonderful seeing the dingos, emus, kangaroos, finches and other beautiful birds!!
Please donate generously to Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre. Populations of these magnificent birds are dwindling because their roosts and food sources are being cleared at a shocking rate.
They need all the protection and care they can get!!!
Kalamunda National Park is so beautiful!! Great to hike around.
Some steep hills and you need decent hiking shoes/boots.
A hiking pole or two is great to have too.
The scenery is amazing with plenty of shade from the trees if you get tired, stop for a bite to eat or to rehydrate.

I was a stallholder at Mundaring Garden & Farmers Market recently where the venue was at Sculpture Park.
It was a lovely family friendly, dog friendly, shady place for visitors with a great feel and vibe.
