I was deeply disappointed and devastated by the experience I had at this funeral home. When one serves in a profession of this nature, it is imperative for professionalism and respect to be present. I attended a service meant to honor a young girl who was killed in a tragic accident.
Throughout the service, pastor David Holmes called her by the incorrect name. When finally corrected, he made an inappropriate joke that he was from Texas, essentially excusing this glaring mistake. The telephone rang throughout the service and was loudly answered, interrupting the grieving of others during this emotional time.
In addition, the flowers were delivered late and were brought in over the course of several minutes in the middle of the service.

When I spoke with the people who ran the service and told them of my disappointment, I was given an insincere apology and defensive excuses. That alone is an incredibly unprofessional way to run a business. Owning up to one’s mistakes and being willing to fix them is how you keep a customer.

This experience was primarily disappointing due to the fact that this could have been a healing experience for those in attendance. Instead, it served as a distraction and point of frustration for many in attendance.

I would not recommend that anyone entrust this establishment with providing services for a departed loved one. I would, however, recommend that the owner of this funeral home seriously consider the review, and make some honest changes.
