مشاهد أثناء رحلتنا جبال ريام وسد مطيرح
بلدة عريقة بولاية مسقط العامرة، اسمها له دلالة على المحبة والعطف والود والوئام.
تعانق جمال البحر بزرقته الممتدة، وتحرسها شم الجبال بهيبتها وروعتها، جبال فريدة بألوانها وتشكلها، فهي صاعدة من قلب المحيط منذ ملايين السنين.
عرفت جبال ريام بمسالكها القديمة؛ فمنها يمكنك أن تصل إلى قلب مدينة مسقط القديمة، أو إلى قلب مدينة مطرح النابضة بالحركة والنشاط التجاري.
تلك المسالك الراجلة لم تتأثر بمدنية هذا العصر، بل بقت طرقا تراثية، ومقصدا مهما في قلب المدينة، لهواة التأمل ورياضة المشي، وقد كان لبلدية مسقط لمسات جمالية لهذا الممشى تشكر عليه، فالممشى يضفي روعة وجمالا في تكامل وانسجام مع حديقة ريام الواسعة.
عندما تتعمق في تلك الجبال السمراء في قلب المدينة، تختفي فيها ضجة المدن المزعجة، وصخب الحياة المرهقة، فهي يغلب عليها الهدوء والسكينة.
ثمة أشجار مبهجة ونباتات خضراء مريحة في تلك الجبال الكتيمة، روعة جمالها يلامس القلوب الجريحة، وتبهج النفوس المرهفة، وتجدد نشاط الأجساد المتعبة.
إذا ما أحسست بعطش، تجد خروس الجبال ومسيل المياه بجانبك تروي عطشك، وإذا ما أتعبك الممشى تجد كهوف الجبال وغيرانها المتناثرة خير مستراح ومأوى.
نبات "الحميض" تتناثر في كل مكان على مسار هذا الممشى، تتميز أوراقها الخضراء الناعمة بطعمها الفريد، فيما ألوان زهر "الظفرة" برقتها وجمالها تزين المسار وتبهج الناظر.

Of the imposing construction, the highlight is a 17th century tower that, according to legend, served “so that the owner of Ribafria could see Penha Verde, which belonged to him, as a descendant of the founder D. João de Castro” from there . At the west angle is the Ribafria shield carved in stone and in the gardens a large tank, in whose waters it is possible to see the facade of the building and a magnificent cistern, with a vast room with its ashlar vault supported by arches and columns of eternal solidity.
