Been eating here since I was a very young boy.... Definitely, the BEST Chinese food, that delivered to my apartment, my whole life living in Chinatown! 25 years, and the food has stayed the exact same!! Very GOOD.
The homeless services only gets more than 1 star due to the size and scale of the operation being so impressive. Most cities have maybe 2 or 3 shelters and/or a soup kitchen or 2. NYC has it's own homeless services NETWORK. The shear size of this undertaking alone, is impressive although unfortunately still NOT ENOUGH to truly handle the ENTIRE homelessness issue in NYC. Actually, it's most-likely the largest service of it's kind coming out of any other large U.S. cities. However, the bigger the system... the more broken it seems to always get! Sometimes I just see so much homelessness and wonder how...but then I realize just how dangerous mostly all homeless shelters in NYC are on a daily basis. This is why so many people choose to stay outside, on the streets, because the shelters are such a huge safety and life risk. Imagine that. The city-provided assistance for homeless individuals is considered WORSE than sleeping on a sidewalk!
Nice tiny private niche under FDR/Brooklyn Bridge ramps on Manhattan side. Used do a little rollerblading under here, back when I was a kid growing up in the 90's down here!! Always will have a place for all things in this area, right in my heart! Always a treat to remember that!!
Beatifuly grown & maintained organic garden. So great to sit by and breathe in all the fresh air!
Good for quick stops, in and out... Not a GREAT variety of brands, but very moderately sensible prices. Taking advantage of their reasonable sales weekly, is a great way to save even more cash... EBT Accepted.
