I visited the Corner Stone before and after the renovations. Prior it was a nice place to grab a rather affordable brunch. After the renovations (which look amazing) I was a bit annoyed by the service, which took over 5 minutes to even get acknowledged and seated with a mostly empty restaurant. Once seated I got friendly service, however the food left much to be desired. I ordered the chilaquiles (divorced to try both salsas) and I've never been so underwhelmed by a version of this dish. The salsa was cold and tasted like it was from a bottle. Chilaquiles are supposed to be served hot after stewing the tortillas briefly in the hot salsa, and that was what I was expecting. The refried beans likewise seemed like they were from a can and were bland. For the price I paid it was a disappointing meal. Perhaps it was an off day, but it is unlikely I will be back.
