This is an awesome part of the WA coastline

Sandy Beach reserve is great. There is a kids park which is currently being upgraded. An awesome picnic area by the river which people are always using.

A sandy beach for if you want to swim in the river. It is a perfect spot for the dog to run into the river and swim.

There is also a nice short walk track along the river. This has great views of some small pockets of native plants being regenerated and the river.

There is a 200 meter sandy track to the beach which is sheltered from the wind so the sand gets really hot even on days that arent that hot.

There is a doggie and people wash station and a drink fountain for both at the carpark end of the track to the beach.

The beach is a beautiful sandy beach which goes for miles.

You cant head north as that is a no dog area and when heading south you may find the nudist beach.

This is also the back of the military base. Every so often they close that end of the beach due to live firing exercises.

Great place to take the dog for a walk. The walk is a short but very beautiful walk up the hill following the stream.

Some incredible views back towards the city on the downward journey.

Been some improvements over winter. Much clearer path and replaced old wooden bridge.
