This apartment building on 108th Street is clean and well maintained. Prices are in line with Forest Hills prices, which is to say pretty high. There is a parking lot and street parking is available though difficult to find.
You are close to the 71st street station subway station, which is an express stop.

On the New Jersey shore, Point Pleasure Beach Pavilion or Jenkinsons Beach as it is commonly called has arcades and smaller children oriented rides. The rides and arcade games are certainly not cheap but are not terribly expensive.
I haven't been there in the evening but during the day it seems like a friendly family oriented place. It is especially worth while way of spending a day if it's raining or cold and the beach is not a good idea.

Pretty good airport restaurant. They have breakfast all day long.
I had an American breakfast, with eggs, and potatoes. It was very good. Service was quick and friendly. If I was going past on another flight I would be likely to stop by.

This is a large multi screen movie theater on 34th Street in Manhattan. I was here for an early screen of Mission Impossible.
The theater is clean and efficiently gets people in and out. There are some interesting Hollywood type art decorations . Sound quality of the movie was fine. Its a little less noisy and crazy than the theaters on 42nd Street.

I was at Pier 88 today for Fleet Week. Several large ships come in once a year and allow people to board them.
For some reason, and I think its Navy's personnel's fault and not pier employees, there were long lines waiting to board the ship with no explanation as to how long the wait is likely to be and what your options are . It seems that in one direction, to see several ships there was a wait while the other direction, to see only one, there was no wait.
After about a half hour wait when we didn't move i walked through the gift shop and went on the one ship, the HMS Scott.
Visiting the ship was lots of fun. The crew was friendly.
Fleet week is worth a visit but give yourself lots of time.
