My advice: go here and skip Borobodur.
It's beautiful and you might just have it all to yourself for a bit.
If you're a student don't buy tickets for Prambanan (and this) online, there's a pretty big discount if you can show your student pass.

It just looks bland and often dirty, I just don't enjoy going there. This could so easily be adjusted, just some wall paintings would be able to lift many moods (even if it's only by a really small amount)
