Nice people here. We enjoyed their soup and company.
They feature a bar, table seating, and a patio.
The owner's collection of sports memorabilia line the walls.

Excellent service.
The spirits are all locally produced. Our vodka tasted more like rum and the rum didn't taste like anything I recognized.
Well drinks; $10, so check out the happy hour.

Beautiful venue. They had a little trouble keeping up with the timing for serving dinner but made it work. They cleverly set up the bar inside of the walk-in vault. The staircase is a lovely place for photos of groups and couples.
Parking can be difficult. Metered street parking nearby but meter time has 2 or 3 hour limits. Lots are nearby but do fill up.

As old downtown area bars go, this is our favorite. They open at 3:00 pm, (call ahead as this could change) and the kitchen, which serves tasty inventions, opens about 5:00.
You can be assured of well poured drinks at very fair price.
Yes, they have wifi.
Because of limited parking, this is becoming a locals bar and less of a destination bar.
But new, nearby garages have been built with 7' clearance and are a worry-free alternative to the risks of street parking tickets.
Gone are the days that you could rub elbows with Dispatch reporters and Civic leaders but the ghosts of the past are still there.
RIP Tommy Thompson
RIP Joe Thurer

This bar is in a strip of businesses and occupies a large, clean, newer space. There are four pool tables, there is seating for about 50 patrons at tables and 20 at the bar. There are about 12 TVs. The music is by Touchtunes (locals play everything from country to rap), a couple games, smoking terrace, and free popcorn when available (the best around).
There is a great bottled beer selection, four beers on tap, great cocktails, happy hour from opening at 11:00 am until change of shift at about 6:00 (weekdays only). The prices are among the best in town.
As a rare bonus, the barmaids will allow you to prepay happy hour prices for after happy hour drinks.
Bar food is provided by local pizza restaurants who deliver. There is a Greek restaurant 50 feet away.
This post was not solicited and I don't know the owner, although I hear he's a great guy.
