This is an overlooked of a nature preserve where there are always lots of birds chilling out on the sand.
You can reach this spot by parking in the Wilder ranch parking (parking fee) or you can ride in on your bicycle. This is a beautiful ride on a bike path from Santa cruise that is paved most of the way until you get to the Wilder path where it turns into dirt/sand. Most of the trail is pretty smooth but there are sections that's washboard, sand, and rocks.
