WOW! I've wanted to do this trail for awhile now. We were able to do it today. My heart felt something while at the top. What a great memorial for these heros.

When the winds unexpectedly shifted on July 6, 1994, a wildfire on Storm King Mountain trapped and killed 14 young wildland firefighters. This trail is a memorial to those brave men and women who fought the blaze.
The reason this trail exists is a tragic one. The Storm King Mountain Trail is a memorial to the 14 firefighters who died defending the homes and property of people they didn’t even know. Each of them left their homes, families, and friends to help extinguish a fire caused by a lightning strike in the mountains surrounding Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The trail was built by volunteers as a tribute to those firefighters.

Best French Fry we ever tasted! Tremendous experience! Fun environment ! Food was fabulous! All the flavors of each food item complimented each other. It was a dining experience not just a meal.
