We did a 1 day throwing course for my wife's birthday a few weeks ago. Neither of us had done pottery throwing before but both came away with a few bowls and pots by the end of the day.

The instructor was super nice and helpful. It was amazing to watch how quickly he could make something but he also had the patience to work with each student to get them started or tips on how to improve their throws.

The studio is well laid out and felt bright and spacious. There were 7 of us on the course the day we went but they can have up to 10.

All the clay and tools are provided and you can get some of your pots fired and collect them a couple of weeks later. We could keep 3 pots but I think how many you can get depends on the course.

Overall, it was a great day out and a fun skill to learn. My wife is already booked on another course with her friend later in the year. I would recommend giving it a go, you'll be surprised what you can learn and make in a day.
