Another one of my old favourites not tremendously big but very warm and friendly nonetheless. I used to spend some time here on the internet terminals. More so than reading the books and publications. And I was always very grateful that the staff were very helpful and friendly.
I was directed to this big brother from Staff at Notting Hill Gate library ( little brother). In my search for books on Domestic Abuse. I also needed to spend some time in their Local Studies department which you can only visit by appointment. So success was close at hand. I found a couple of non fiction books concerning Domestic Abuse. (Or the Counseling of Domestic Abuse and Violence). The library was fairly busy. But I was able to find a vacant seat so I could make some notes.I did not spend a lot of time in the library. But I could only find a book related to Domestic Violence which had a small directory of; counselling and psychotherapy associations.
Ironically I eventually found a book entitled Domestic Abuse Act 2021 in Foyles bookshop (price @£65-70.00)

Petticoat Lane Market is a fashion and clothing market in Spitalfields, London. It consists of two adjacent street markets. Wentworth street market is open six days a week and Middlesex street market is open Sunday only (closes at 2pm).
In Tudor times Middlesex street was known as Hogs Lane a pleasant lane lined by hedgerows and Elms. The market was not formally recognised until an Act of Parliament in 1936. But it's long history as an informal market makes it possibly one of the oldest surviving markets in Britain.
Old Fables say that they were very popular for an eclectic selection of colourful silky petticoats.I have awarded the market five stars because I am fairly certain that I can see very interesting bargains lurking in its once murky depths. At this stage I am not 100% sure but I hope to return in the very near future to investigate.
So watch this space !
Yes I thought that there was a good selection of shirts And some in my size too (XXXL). These large shirts are quite difficult to find at a good price. But I have saved myself oodles and purchased two shirts for a very comparatively small price.

I visited this market located in Electric Avenue essentially to find a colourful shirt. Although the market is relatively small,I guessed that they would know what I was looking for. Electric Avenue is a street in Brixton, London built in the 1880's. It was the first market street to be lit by electric lights. Today the market contains various food and domestic provisions retailers and hosts part of the market that specialises in selling a mix of African, Caribbean, South American and Asian products. It is located just around the corner from Brixton underground tube station.
I have always been a big fan of the Beatles and I used to collect special edition records and books that they had released in the 1970's. So I dropped into this splendid theme café. 'Can't buy me love' was playing on the music player and it reminded me that I had just mentioned the single music track Online.
I had a brief chat with the friendly staff about the foresightedness of Lennon and McCartney's music. I was very impressed with this café which had its own unique Beatles themed menu and a memorabilia shop next door full of posters,T shirts,
gifts etc
