FOOD & DRINKS
We tried some snacks and a few dishes. I had the Buta Don as my entrée which was okay. I was a bit disappointed with my dish to be honest. The Karaage and the Takoyaki on the other hand were good. My sister tried the okonomiyaki and allowed me to have a bite. I would say this is the main dish to go for.

This is one of the Greek restaurants that don't offer Gyro. Instead the focus is more on meat & seafood dishes. We ordered several seafood items and a few meat appetizer. To top it off I wanted to try their Moussaka. To make it simple, everything tasted fresh with the exception of the Moussaka which isn't a surprise. Usually the Moussaka is baked beforehand, sometimes even one day before, then sliced and reheated per order.
The flavor profile of the dishes aren't really spectacular but rather settle and simple. The meat in some dishes was a bit dry.
SERVICE
The owner is a real character who likes to joke with his regular customers or if you joke around with him. We were here on a very busy day but service was still friendly and didn't let us wait for too long.
ATMOSPHERE
If you come here definitely reserve a table in the outside patio on a sunny day. Sitting there almost makes you feel as if you were dining at a restaurant in Greece.

What else would you get at a place that calls itself Pizza? Pizza of course! For a good high quality pizza this is the place to go! The selection is limited but that is fair if you want to put your focus on a few quality ingredients instead of cheap stuff from the supermarket.
I ordered the pizza 'Papa'. The dough of the thin crust pizza was chewy and soft with a little bit of crunch towards the crust. The spicy salami was very mild for me but you could taste the chili. The tomato sauce was sweet and fresh.

I simply love burgers with bacon and a sunny side up egg. Changing things up a bit to my taste wasn't an issue at all. They also have a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options which also covers their selection of milkshakes! It is always sad if you go to a burger place and your vegetarian friend only has one option while your vegan friends can't even enjoy the milkshake variations.
They didn't ask how I want my burger so I had to trust the cook that it it will be served just how I like it and yes it did. It was still juicy and lightly pink in the middle. Not raw. The veggies and the patty tasted fresh. The bun was alright. The sunny side up egg almost perfect. The bacon could be crispier.
Maybe a sprinkle of salt and white pepper would have bring out more flavor but I really can't complain.

I rarely have been to a restaurant with that level of friendliness. Everyone is just very nice. I dig it.

The patty was well done but nowhere near dry. While pretty ordinary in taste I think it was fine.

You order at the counter but the food will be brought to your table. Drinks can be taken from the fridge and when you pay you simply tell them what you got. The staff was friendly and nice.

Lately you are able to find an abundance of burger places to go to around Germany. With so many options it is very hard to satisfy the increased amount of expectations. You need to give customers a reason why they should pick your place instead of the burger place around the corner.
Even in such a small town like Recklinghausen, there are a few burger options to pick from and this one, I can recommend with no doubt.
The only reason I gave a four star rating is that while everything is good, nothing is outstanding. But if you just want to enjoy a good fresh burger, consider this one.
