Great option for budget travellers looking for inexpensive activities when in San Jose. This museum has a very good selection of skulls, rocks, fossils, marine life, reptiles, animals and insects displayed. Good assortment of petrified wood, shells and the largest butterfly collection I have yet to see. Excellent value for the entrance cost to this museum (1800 colones for seniors 2500 colones for adults). Great family activity. Handicap accessibility.

Take time to use the Isa Genzken information booklet at the entrance to follow through the exhibit. Exhibit felt like there wasn't enough space for each piece of work for full effect. Can be truly immersive and fun if you take your time with it. Exhibits on lower level can also be thought provoking. Excellent choice for contemporary art lovers and a good pick for one of the options for the museum pass.

Interesting small scale "castle" in Neukolln neighbourhood. Had an interesting art installation on first floor and in the gardens based on the history of carpets. 5 euro entry fee permitted access to the castle and the exhibit. Only first floor was open. Beautiful gardens with neat outbuildings including apairy still in use and small animal farm with goats, cows and geese. Bathroom facilities available in schloss. Kid friendly area. Another small artifact museum near animals and a beautiful church across the street. Inexpensive outing when in Berlin for the family or budget travellers
North Head Trail

Excellent hiking trail if picking just one to do when in St. John and you dont have a lot of time. Free 2 hour parking is available beside the Battery Cafe at Battery road. The entrance is a bit tricky to find. Walk up middle battery road from parking (to the left) then veer right at the first foot path. Look for the signs and symbols as noted in the photos and you will find the trail head. I would consider this a difficult hike due to numerous stairs, a tight hiking path with uneven surfaces and inclines and one section that is narrow and has a chain to hold on to while traversing. Several local were trail running this path (good on you all !) and will work up a good sweat. Bring water and something to take pictures with. The view at the base of signal hill is phenomenal and shows beautiful views of the city along the way. Not suited for cyclists. Happy trails !!
A small selection of fruit and veggies. If you see something you like, buy it as stock can sometimes be limited. Good place to see what's going on with the locals on the weekends at night. Local farms will sometime sell yogurt, cheese, etc out of a van outside the market at night
