RH Yountville may be Instagram-worthy, but the overall experience fell short of expectations. While the interior, adorned with trees and foliage, is undoubtedly beautiful, the food was mediocre and overpriced. The burger, in particular, lacked the exceptional quality anticipated. The freezing cold atmosphere, defended by management as part of the ambience, made the dining experience uncomfortable. Sadly, I wouldn't recommend or consider a return visit.
After finding a large housefly cooked into my meal, I’m not sure I can come back here again. I worry about the state of cleanliness in their kitchen and if any larvae was potentially cooked into their rice pots. They also didn’t do much more than to refund my meal after being a loyal customer for many, many Uber orders. I’m not sure what I was expecting but perhaps a little more customer service and empathy for a real faux-pas in the dining world.
Kiin offers a remarkable culinary journey with its 6-course tasting menu. The server's impressive memory stood out, as they cited each ingredient and story from memory, enhancing the overall experience. Each dish was beautifully presented, turning the dining experience into a tale.
The server's guidance on pairing and the order of eating added to the enjoyment. The khao soi surf and turf dish was a standout, with super melt-in-your-mouth beef and perfectly cooked lobster. The presentation and flavor were exceptional, earning Kiin a well-deserved 10 out of 10.
