This rating is only for the Castle Clinton monument. It’s a nice sitting area and there are some historical info plaques displayed, but otherwise there is not much here.
Not much to see here, but it’s cozy and quiet and quaint. Nice spot to get away for a quiet conversation or solitude. I went after 5pm on a Friday and there were only two people there, one of whom was a maintenance worker. Someone mentioned on here that it closes at sundown, so that’s something to keep in mind if you plan to go. ☺️
Big park and easy to get lost, so I’m glad I went with a friend. We went to the mansion ruins site. I love old buildings and stuff so I wish there was more to see, but I still think it was worth it. I would go back and try to explore other parts of the park, as I’m sure there was plenty I did not see. The Cloisters are also in the park but you have to pay to see it.
