Experince wonderful nature.. despite of the peak summer in Muscat, drive for around 1 and half hours to get a dip in flowing fresh water natural ponds. It was really mazing !
The trip summary:
You get a free parking lot and ferry( 1 OMR) crosses the land, to start walking. Sun doesn't annoy much you as it's steep under the canyon. But, of course the mid day sun, for couple if hours. Walk takes approx 45 minutes(one way) for an adult man to reach the destination, with hurdles of rocky terrain. Pair of good sports shoes are recommended. The terrain is not inclined, but not smooth enough for women and small children to easily walk. Anticipate 1hour+ for families to reach the last spot, to visualise the mesmerizing beauty. Not a crowded place.
Be Very careful before entering the pool, some areas are deep, and no other rescuers nearby. And ensure you return to the parking lot before the day light goes.
