Great views over the city and the bay. The museum is small but informative and includes a good mix of reading material, videos, models etc. Staff are friendly. There is a small gift shop with restrooms. In my experience there is no need to book-- on a Saturday morning in May I had the museum and lookout almost to myself.
When we arrived it was full and we had no reservation but they opened the upper level so we could be accommodated. Very friendly service. The pork belly and roast monkfish were delicious and the prices were fair. Lovely atmosphere with soft French music. Highly recommended for a dinner treat
Beautiful medieval town
Beautiful walls with incredible views. Cobblestone path can be painful if you have flat shoes so sensible footwear recommended. The walls are accessible at all hours and free to walk round. They are exposed to the wind during winter months so wrap up warm
