For commuters travelling towards Central Railway station or Towards Airport/Guindy from Mogappair,Padi,Ambattur this station will be the fastest and more apt way to reach your destination if you want to avoid all the traffic and chaos on the road. The station is very clean and runs underground for the entire stretch from Thirumangalam to Central. The elevated stretch starts from CMBT. It only takes a max of 10 mins to reach Egmore Railway station which is fabulous. Toilets are not bad but definitely needs improvement. Safety is on par with world standards. Currently Metro opens at 5:30AM till 11 PM (Mon-Sat) and 7:00 AM till 10PM on Sundays. Rates starts from Rs.10 to Rs.50 and I believe they offer 20% discounts for travel card users. they also have unlimited rides per day if you pay Rs.100 (not sure of the exact fare) will update it once I get the exact figures. Two wheeler and four wheeler parking facilities are also available. Charging station for EV’s are also available .
