Really interesting place to find in the forest.
Nice area with a bunch of historic ships. It is located across the street from the National Park Visitor Center. There is a fee to get in, but if you have a National Park Pass you can get in for free. You can walk aboard the ships and explore them. The larger ships have some exhibits that will tell you their history and their historic significance. The area is less crowded than Fisherman’s Wharf and Aquatic Park. It’s a nice place to get away from the those crowds. It also has some wonderful views of the bay.
Lovely park with 2 statues of Frida Kahlo. There’s also a statue of Diego Rivera by one of the Frida statue.
I was pleasantly surprised how much I like this zoo. I had a great time seeing all the animals and reading all the educational materials. The gondola ride to the upper part of the zoo offers great views of the park and the San Francisco Bay. The upper area is newer addition and the enclosures where much nicer and larger. The train ride to the Australian part of the zoo was very fun. It’s a nice place to explore.
Came here after a long day at Outsidelands. The food was amazing. It definitely hit the spot. I’m glad I found this place. I’ll be coming back when I’m in the area again.
