If you only have 1 chance to cavern dive in Yucatan Cenote, I recommend Cenote El Pit as the place to experience it. It has a depth of 30 meters, whereas fresh water meets salt water in the middle. When you dive through it, you can experience a halocline. With beautiful blue sunrays throughout the clear water, you can also find foggy sulfur gas at the bottom of the cenote, making the experience even more surreal. And on top of that, there are Mayan ceramics that are still left in some parts of the hole, reminding you of the full history of this place. It is a must to visit for Diver around the world.
