Wow, one of the best places to see Cherry blossoms! Home of the cherry blossom festival but it was special because of blossom after dark. There's a huge field of grass well maintained, right by the water you can walk along, lined with trees and the event at night made it a very busy place to be. Lots of fun and photo opportunities.
It's serene here, very few people in the winter. The birds were out and trails were frozen under the snow bog trail was frozen too but there's too much construction
Best to go early in the morning for quiet walks, unfortunately large protests are sometimes seen in front of lawn. Carriage horse rides look nice, also have protests around the side. Inside has nice free tours. So beautiful at night with lights and the architecture is stunning.
Fun but short bridge, way better view at night with the lights on. The construction now is very noisy and smelly.
