Absolutely phenomenal! Like driving through the Grand Canyon. Words and pictures cannot describe this park adequately. Must see! Go slow! Road has very few guard rails. Makes for a thrilling ride...especially for passengers.
Went with our neighbors for an early lunch. Only a few other patrons when we got there. "Q", the Bartender, was taking care of our table. A couple of us ordered flights of beer. Nice variety of craft local and regional beers. They weren't very cold though. Tasty but not quite the right temperature. We saw that it was getting busier so we ordered an appetizer, Fried Wisconsin Cheese Curds, which were pretty good. Nice light batter, but just a little greasy for our taste. Ordered our entrees and then talked and waited, and waited, and waited. We finally made eye contact with Q who came to our table, apologized and said she would check on our order. She came back and explained that the kitchen got slammed with lunch orders and ours would be out soon. Several minutes later our food came out. But it all came out lukewarm. Disappointed. We didn't say anything to Q because she was super busy and we knew it would be even longer. Food was very tasty, although the Green Chili could use a little more chicken or whatever meat is on it. Not sure we'll be back. Again, Q took great care of us.
Excellent craft beers and service. We were parched after a hot day out on our land so we stopped in for a Flight of eight and got outstanding service from Dixie. The pretzel appetizer, with warm beer cheese dip and cinnamon butter, was excellent. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back.
Went two nights in a row to see Tribute Bands; Dave Matthews on Saturday night and Billy Joel on Sunday night. Not sure why the difference but the acoustics were much better Sunday night and we even hung out in the "pit" all during the performance. Saturday night acoustics were pretty loud and way too much bass and it was impossible to be in the "pit" without going deaf. In any case, highly recommend bringing ear protection of some sort because the venue is small and the music is loud. Servers work hard to take care of everyone and the bar service is always fast and the bartenders very pleasant and personable. Beer and food item prices are fairly reasonable too. It's going to become one of our new favorite places to listen to live music and be able to interact with the performers. We'll definitely be back.
Really like this consignment store. Good quality furniture and home decor items. Many antiques. The new location is not nearly as convenient as the previous location on Richmond highway, which may be a good thing considering how often I frequented, but it is much more spacious and open. I think this may have resulted in a little loss of it's charm but there appears to be more items and it is much easier to see and get around. I like the tiered, by date, pricing system, and if you're patient, and lucky, you can get some good deals. But, if you like something, I wouldn't wait too long...to the bottom pricing tier...because luck may run out if someone else likes it better and is willing to pay the higher tier price. All of the staff are great, but especially Ann and notably Susan. Love to go there and just browse, but often I find something to bring home. Will definitely be back.
