I first used this nursery to plant my garden about 15 years ago. I've just recently bought a new project that requires a lot of planting so I made a special trip to see what they have. I can't express how disappointed I was. The place is overrun with weeds and the variety is fairly limited, especially considering the size of the place. Some of the stock looks good but I'd say about 40% of it is struggling. They have got hundreds of bonsai trees which are of no use to a gardener.

Nonetheless, I was planning out what I needed and approached the older female to ask for some specific items. She was extremely abrupt and offered no service besides pointing in a direction with the water hose she was using.

I decided to ask the older guy for help next and that was a disaster. His replies were actually hostile. I was reading the notes on my phone and I'm not sure if this offended him but he kept saying things like "anything you find in there we are not going to have, we're not Bunnings".

I was the only customer in the whole nursery and they treated me like dirt. I left and sadly I'll never bother going back here.

I've since then read the reviews on this place and I can see it's a common complaint. The photos online are 4 years old and it's a totally different picture now. Buyer be aware at this place, brace yourself for some appalling service and potentially some blatant hostility. I didn't see a younger person working there that day but from other reviews it seems like that's a better bet if you have a question.

I can't verify this but after speaking to some locals in Mudgeeraba Legend has it that the nursery was started many years ago and the old owner has retired. The family owns a lot of land in the valley and they have been here for 3 generations. The place is now managed by their adult children who have no passion or interest for their industry despite working there their whole lives. They seem to hate it and detest dealing with customers. They have never had to start, grow or improve on the operation and from general appearances, it looks like it's in decline. It's such a shame that the legacy of this place is being destroyed.

There is another nursery a little further up the road. I'd save yourself the trauma and just skip this one.
