I would give 0 stars if I could. This company has made my last few months of living here hell and so stressful trying to get issues addressed and taken seriously. This company does not care for you and the building is so poorly maintained. They make it look like they’re doing work for the building by making repairs to common areas like the lobby, parking lot, and laundry room but they fail to take care of current tenants. They also focus on renovating new units to make the building look appeasing meanwhile other people living here for years get ignored and repairs aren’t completed or done properly and safely. We have mold in our bathroom ceiling and it is falling apart and they are failing to help us. They want to band aid fix everything and not address the real concerns or test for mold which is clearly visible. They make you feel incompetent and like you’re overreacting. They try to intimidate you so you won’t pursue help. They are constantly doing repairs on the water system causing us to be without water multiple days out of a month with minimal to 0 notice. They are constantly doing loud and disruptive construction around the building and it has been this way for the past 2 years they have owned our building. The building is infested with bugs and they blame you. They don’t answer their phone and the main office number for Capreit is a joke. No one helps you. Do not move here unless you want to be treated poorly, have bugs, pay a ridiculous increase in rent AND hydro when the units were previously inclusive. Stay away and invest into a nicer and better maintained building!!
