I've worked here and please do not bring your animals here. The lab is run like a "mom and pop" lab rather than a actual professional lab. Your test results are never accurate and only the supervisors (those not working with animal samples) have degrees. Keep in mind that most of the people working on your samples have no degrees and ALL are paid at the poverty level you should have no confidence in your samples coming back accurately. Bordetella negative? Wrong! Morbillivirus positive or negative? Who knows because the lab managers don't know how false contamination works. When you pay people like Dr. Susan Sanchez 100k a year for not knowing what is going on in the lab or how the tests are run and Dr. Saliki who also has no idea what the lab is doing then you are running a discoordinated lab. Dr. Susan Sanchez gets paid 100k+ to do nothing but sit in her office all day and go to "meetings every day"' that do not improve the lab at all while her own lab team talks behind her back. Do you trust people being paid poverty level wages to run your samples while the supervisors make 100k+/year and have no idea what's going on and no hand in testing your samples? I wouldn't. You're putting your animal's lives at risk sending samples here. For example the molecular lab manager makes about 15 dollars or less an hour for samples crucial to the diagnosis of the animal. A pizza hut delivery driver makes that much or more. The lab doesn't even afford drug tests for the people that are on drugs every shift and I met a few while working there. UGA needs to up their game with their labs or have a better look at this lab in specific.
Please stay away your tests are
inaccurate and poorly handled.
Yes I am a former employee as I said in the beginning.
