Warning to visitors, particularly out of state visitors: Even if you are a conceal carry holder, the NIH police will steal your firearms and throw you in jail if you legally have a firearm in your vehicle when you approach the gate. They don't even ask if you have anything. They just start searching through your vehicle and will not allow you to leave.
After they release you from confinement, you will be forced to make multiple trips back to the area to appear before a federal judge. At the end of the process, they still don't return the property that they stole.
They do this to people on a daily basis, sometimes to multiple people in a day.
