The worst, arrogant and rude staff member that I have encountered at a take away outlet.
On 22 November 2023 at 11:48 I placed an order for two jumbo russians and a mince curry vetkoek.
The woman came from the kitchen and brought my food to the woman that took my order at the till. I asked her if it was order number 46 and the woman from the till said yes. I asked her if she was sure that it was jumbo russians and not the extra large russians. The woman from the till looked at the woman from the kitchen and laughed sarcasticly. I asked her why she laughed because I was only asking her whether she was sure that it was the jumbo russians and why she was lauging. She ignored me. I then asked her for the managers number. She said she does not have it but I must come back later because he will be there. I asked her the name of the manager and she said arrogantly that it is Johnny. I again asked her why she laughed and she said she knows how to check the food. I asked her what her name is and she hesitated to give it. She then mummbled something which I could not hear. I took out my phone and said I want to take a picture of her in order to show her manager which staff member was the one that was so rude to me. She then ran to the kitchen and refused to come out. I told her that she messed with the wrong person because I will be reporting her behaviour. The lady from the kitchen then started to apologise and I told her that the lady from the till must apologise because she was the one who was rude. The lady from the kitchen called the lady from the till and I asked her to apologise. She refused and started to raise her voice so much so that the two men that was sitting at the table heard her raising het voice. I decided to take my food and to leave because she was making a scene.
She did not want to apologise even after a gave her the chance to do so. She just became more rude and aggressive.
She needs to go for a course in client service because this is not the proper manner to treat any client.
Even the men sitting at the table shook their heads in disbelieve.
I will never support this outlet again and I will make sure that all my friends and family knows about my horrible experience at Fat Cake City in Hertzog street.
Good food does not help when the personnel are extremely rude and arrogant.
