Cool place to go to see all things book related. Some displays of some really old books and cool area where you can see all these books going up high. Cafes to get food n drink. Seemed to be a lot of people studying and meeting up - was busier than I expected it to be on a weekday. Good to try and plan what to see if you haven’t got lots of time to spare. Exhibition of old books etc can be found on Upper ground floor on the far left as you enter the premises.
As statues go this one is very impressive! I couldn’t get enough of it! Every time I saw it I couldn’t get over the size of the statue and the presence it brings to the main square. It’s just so empowering and is mighty in the city. Well worth a look at it.
Nice little pool if you want to do some exercise. It is a community pool run by the community. Friendly staff. Some parking spaces outside the venue. You have to take your shoes off when you come in before going into changing rooms. £1 needed for locker. Can pay by card, they take Amex too which is good. Lifeguard on duty also. Update - they now don't take amex and price has gone up. See latest pic.
I hosted a badminton tournament here and it went very successfully. The participants involved in the tournament were very impressed with the leisure centre and really liked it. The courts are big and lots of space around for people to watch which is good. Impressive!
Hadrian's Gate Hotel

Stayed here when in Jerash. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by the friendly owner and were well looked after. The hotel is dead opposite the Hadrian’s gate which is impressive. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. The shower was so nice and warm and pressure wasn’t off which was good. The breakfast was great too. Even though this was the most expensive hotel we stayed in whilst in Jordan it was really good value for money! I’d definitely stay here again if I was in Jerash. Very nice!
