This was a very unique structure that I regret I was able to enter on my visit. It was closed. I would have absolutely loved to climb the inside of that structure and peer out over the world to see all the states I could. Maybe someday I will go back, who knows?
When I visited, it was on a trip back to GA. We made a quick stop so I could see the mountain. I am glad I did. This seems to be a very big park with a lot to offer. I saw a small lake with a beach area for the summer, camping areas, and picnic tables. While I was there, a snow squall was moving in so we decided to get off the mountain quickly when the alert came through. The wind made the already freezing temperatures feel soooo much colder, and it just ripped through all the clothes I was wearing. As a GA girl, this was a weather I'm NOT familiar with. I found a pretty cool seashell from the jersey shore, and I really thought that was very neat to have as a keepsake.
