When I heard that there was a restaurant near Boston that had some Chicago style food, I knew I had to check it out. It’s the only restaurant in the area I’ve seen that makes their own Italian beef. It did NOT disappoint and I was quite impressed. This was the real deal.
The beef was perfectly thin and soaked in gravy, the sweet peppers were correctly cooked and seasoned just the way it’s done in Chicago, and the giardiniera (available in hot and mild)was the exact brand that you’d get from Portillo’s. They even brought out a little container of gravy for us to pour according to our preference. The roll itself could have been a bit larger, but overall it was incredibly delicious and even better than many Chicago restaurants I’ve been to. I also tried the Chicago dog and it was also exactly what you’d get from the best hot dog stands in Chicago. A steamed poppyseed bun, Vienna beef hot dog, sport peppers, neon green relish, and all the fixings. Perfectly balanced and incredibly delicious. The fries were perfectly crispy on the outside, well seasoned, and fresh.
There was plenty of free parking in the attached lot. The inside of the restaurant isn’t very large but there were plenty of seats available when we got there. The owners were so friendly and personable. After you order your food they will have you take a seat and have you pay after you’ve eaten. They have a unique selection of drinks and snacks available as they also function as a European market. There were unique sodas that I look forward to trying on future visits as well as bottled giardiniera if you want to take some home. I highly recommend stopping here for the high quality beef sandwiches and the incredible service. I will most definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu if I can bring myself to stray from my favorite Chicago dishes.

City Museum is one of the hardest places on earth to describe. It’s fun for kids and adults alike to explore this massive building with all sorts of oddities, places to crawl and explore, and climb. You might be crawling through narrow spaces on your hands and knees or suddenly exploring caves. They have an outdoor area with massive metal structures to climb as well as a unique rooftop area (open seasonally during the warm months) with things that you must see to believe.
I highly recommend getting knee pads for just about anyone who is going to explore anything here. You have to explore and play at your own risk and be cautious. If you do have kids with you, it will be easy to lose them as some slides go between floors and it may not be quick or easy to catch up.
The space is well maintained and the staff is generally very friendly and helpful when needed. There are snacks available on the second floor and there’s a bar on the third floor. They have lockers available to rent and it’s worth it to have a place to stash items since you will work up a sweat and it may be easy to lose valuables.
This is one of the most unique places I’ve ever been to and something that I’d consider a must visit attraction for anyone coming to Saint Louis for the first time. Don’t skip this and take your time exploring since there’s a lot to see.

This restaurant is small but mighty. They have a great selection of your standard Thai fare along with some special and unique items. It’s in a busy downtown area not far from Waikiki beach and a big shopping district. The staff were very attentive and polite, the food came out very quick, and all of it was high quality. The selection of different sauces on the table were all high quality and made in house.
Appetizers: The roti with peanut sauce was such a surprising and wonderful item. Perfectly fried but not too rich and perfectly paired with the peanut sauce for dipping. The deep fried dumplings were well formed and had a lovely filling of chicken and pork with a soy ginger sauce.
Entrees: One of the best khao soi I’ve ever had. The rich and flavorful curry complimented the perfectly cooked noodles. It was comforting and perfect and I hope to get it again someday. This was my first time trying khao moo daeng and I loved it. It’s a great balance of sweet, salty, and sour. The penang curry was exceptional balancing the creamy curry with just the right amount of heat.

This place is somewhat of a hidden gem in downtown Plymouth. It’s got the look and feel of an upscale restaurant but has a more relaxed vibe. The staff are a small but mighty team who deliver an exceptional experience. I’ve been here 3 times and each time our server was Ryan, who has always done an excellent job making people feel welcomed with his hospitable attitude. He handles a lot of tables all while being personable and making great recommendations. The folks here are all passionate about the food and the dining experience and it shows.
The food itself is prepared with a lot of thought and love. Every choice about each recipe feels deliberate and well-thought. On this particular trip we enjoyed several items for a Valentine’s Day dinner. It’s a nice touch that they serve bread with a honey butter that they make. It’s dangerous to fill up on this, but it’s too good to skip.
Caesar Frites - Essentially a Caesar salad with topped with perfectly cooked fries.
Mixed Board - A combination cheese and charcuterie board packed with unique spreads such as a garlic honey crunch and a house made mortadella. This is the 2nd time we’ve ordered this and it was fairly different from the last time and in my opinion, even better than the last.
Grilled Steak Burger - One of the best burgers in town. It includes a melted raclette cheese which elevates the flavor substantially. The aioli was a great compliment to the burger as well as the fries. Every element worked in perfect harmony and makes this a staple as far as I’m concerned.
Pork Schnitzel - This fried pork cutlet pairs wonderfully with the lemon caper butter sauce to create a refreshing and intriguing combination of flavors. The potato purée was incredibly smooth and comforting. The brussel sprouts were roasted in a garlic herb butter that gave them a satisfying crunch to perfectly compliment the dish. I enjoyed this one a lot and appreciated the well thought arrangement of flavors. I’d definitely order this one again if I’m not intrigued by anything else that’s new on the menu.
