A larger group of us came for lunch on a Saturday. The sevice was very friendly and accommodating. Food came out quickly as some of the group had to leave earlier than others. Soup bowls were quite large portion, could have been a lunch all by itself with the bread served at table. F0⁰ood was very good, but the soup was a bit salty for my liking and mashed potatoes were cold on one of the orders. Very good portions, you'll need a takeout container.
Smallish square park with a baseball diamond, playground with play equipment, a covered picnic area with seating, a few benches scattered among the few trees in the area. Well manicured grass when we were there. The only parking is on the road but plenty of it when we were there mid afternoon on a Saturday. There was a porta potty near the baseball diamond but not sure if that was for the road construction in the area at the time.
Well maintained park in Scarborough area even when busy. Lots of places to picnic and various water play and playgrounds for the little ones. Also have the new exercise area for the big ones! Trails through the forests and even some tricking water falls. Didn't get to the dog park but it looked huge!! If you go far enough you might even see a deer 🦌! Parking has been an issue on long weekends or when there are events.
Really cool museum! Happy to see there is no fee for general admission. Open Wednesdays to Sundays now from 11- 4 I think. 2 buildings open for viewing when I went. No wait when I went on Sunday just around noon. Had a partial guided tour and got to wander around for the rest of it. Would be great if they could get the stove going again or the ice cream maker. Understand covid has changed things but it would certainly enhance the experience. If you get a chance you should go!
