The hours are horrible and it's always overcrowded. The bathrooms are disgusting too and smelled horrible

I honestly don't even know where to begin, I live in lower town and across from the park. The park is trashed and there is always gang activity in the park. At night it is dangerous I highly recommend not walking through at night, the benches have homeless people sleeping on them, there is needles laying around, and you can't relax because people are screaming and blasting music. They have good festivals and when people visit from out of town they get the good view of Mears Park which is where the 5 star reviews come from. But when you are visiting when there is no event, your going to have a different experience then when there is.
