The grounds themselves were pristine. (Especially true since the Parks and Recreation Maintenance Crew were finishing up with their mowing and trimming as my friend, her husband, son, and I arrived!) This park has a nice blend of sunny sidewalks to follow and shady pavilions with picnic tables to sit in. The flowering trees were in full bloom and beautiful. My only complaint was a Parks and Rec Maintenance member chose to ask us to have my friend's toddler son not touch a water feature. To be fair, the water fountain had one side with guardrails in front of it; however, there was plenty of open space surrounding it where anyone could walk up to it and touch it through the grate it was splashing through. There was no signage saying not to touch and certainly other people take a moment to feel the water who visit. While I give grace for such encounters, and we did comply, it was noteworthy enough to remove a star from our experience at this particular park.
