Gaetan Doger de Speville

Beautiful maintained fortress from the Ottoman period. Part of the Walls of Constantinople. Train (T6) from Yenikapi to Kalicesme. Brief walk through a neighbourhood with small narrow streets leading to on of the corner towers of the fort. It seems there is a lot of renovation / maintenance on the structure. You can walk stairs to top of south tower to enjoy a beautiful view of the Marmara sea. Well worth the effort.
