If you like a good motte and bailey - and who doesn't - then this is one of the best preserved I've seen. Totally excellent with commanding views from both motte and bailey. Access is better from the car park in the village up the lane to the farm. The alternative 'direct' route - along the 'main' road - is pretty perilous and the footpath can be boggy.
