The Tow Center (which used to be known as the Gershwin Center) is one of Brooklyn College's HUGEST assets. It makes Brooklyn College pretty good for the study of the performing arts (although being in Manhattan itself is usually more beneficial) although I studied Acting, Voice & Piano @ Brooklyn for YEARS growing up; specifically during my elementary and high school years.
I took two "gap years" in between high school and college, during which time I took classes at both Brooklyn & Hunter, as well as continued to study with the same Acting, Vocal and Piano instructors @ Brooklyn that I'd been working with since the second grade, and I came to appreciate Brooklyn (& the CUNY system itself) in a whole new way.
I didn't end up getting my degree at Brooklyn (or at Hunter either), but I think the CUNY system offers a solid education to students, with an amazing amount of resources.

Hampshire's MDB was one of the places I spent the majority of my time on campus. I ❤️'d the Dance Studios (but specifically the Main Dance Studio), & I also thought that Hampshire had the BEST, updated and most modern facilities for studying Dance in the ENTIRE consortium.
The Dance Studios at Hampshire were the best and most up to date; and were better (imho) than the ones at Amherst, Smith & Mt. Holyoke. Even compared to the University's dance facilities, Hampshire's were superior; however the other four campuses Theater 🎭 facilities were FAR better & more extensive (especially UMass') than Hampshire's.
As a Theater/Film student, I enjoyed working/performing in that Main Studio space and using it for multimedia performances (which it was even better for than the EDH "Black Box" Theaters) because of how the spatial design of the studio functioned, it's acoustics and it was also the PERFECT size (not too big and not too small) so it had a good amount of performing space, but also felt intimate at the same time.
As a player of the Piano 🎹, (and a lover of Musical Theater 🎭🎶🎼), I also loved the MDB for it's practice room facilities, and the luxury of being able to practice (or do vocal warm-ups) whenever I wanted to was indispensable to me, ESPECIALLY when I was involved in production work. I could pop into the MDB, warm up and then head over to EDH for rehearsal warm & ready to go.
