The playground itself is great. It’s new, it has bouncy ground, and areas for toddlers and older kids. It’s shaded and paid street parking is typically available or it’s easy to get to from the metro. Sometimes you’ll have a fire truck sighting at the station across the street. But I really wish it was gated in. It’s right next to a very busy street. Which makes wrangling more than one little one highly nerve wrecking. I’ve never experienced any issues with unhoused people hanging in or around the playground itself, but have seen other reviews saying it was issue for them. Gating the area might help parents feel more comfortable with that aspect of the park as well.
