I used to like the place. But arriving at 22 and seeing that we cannot sit because quite a few tables are (still) reserved for eating, is very disappointing. The only option available was outside, and it's already a bit cold for that.

Also, I find it very disgusting that people are allowed to smoke inside, and the DJ music apparently is only for them, the smokers.

I guess I should start going to Zeughaus more often.

Update: I wasn't given any option, just to sit where the barrels are (very uncomfortable) or outside (already cold), I certainly wasn't informed that I would be informed if someone would leave.

What I don't understand is why at least 4 tables were reserved just for eating at 22:00, empty, when they could be accommodating us or someone else for drinks. I seriously doubt that so many people would eat that late in Switzerland.

I am happy if the non-smokers area will be improved soon, at least.

Update 2: I don't know who you are talking about but we weren't three, but two, and there were at least four tables available but still reserved for dinner, at 22. If somebody spoke with you that we were leaving it certainly wasn't my friend. Thanks for the offer but I am not writing you, I just think that the service should be much more flexible and welcoming, customer-centric, which definitely wasn't the case the last time we went there, and that is why we left.

Again, it's ridículous to tell your customers to sit outside or in the uncomfortable area of the barrels (that was empty for that reason) when you have several empty tables, reserved for food, that realistically will not be occupied anymore. Seriously, it's just about caring about your customers, the rest doesn't matter. The way it happened the message I received is "I prefer to keep all those tables empty than giving one to you", which isn't really a nice thing to say
